By the way, I think this is very interesting - as squeak depends on an
image that's "there", being bootstrapped in the old days.

GNU Smalltalk takes the approach of having a vm based compiler that
bootstrap on request.

"Java" having a centrally bootstrapped set of libraries by oracle (sun)...
