I don't think it is possible to port the forest rendering algorithm to 
OpenGL ES. The implementation uses many advanced features of OpenGL 4.0 
which are not available in OpenGL ES (3D textures, transform feedback, 
geometry shaders, instancing, subpixel coverage masks, etc).
